How much do notarial services cost?
By law, notaries in Michigan cannot charge more than $10 per signature for most in-person notarial acts (that is, each time we stamp and sign our names).
Mobile notaries can charge fees to travel to clients, but these must be agreed to prior to the appointment.
Remote Online Notarizations may include other fees as part of the electronic systems used for notarizations. More complex items, such as apostilles and loan signings, are likely priced higher. See our FAQ on Remote Online Notarizations for more details.
Our fees are:
$10 per notarial act (the notary stamp/signature)
$1 per mile travel fee from NW Detroit ($5 minimum)
We can also provide witnesses (if needed) for $25 per witness.
Trips to courthouses, jails, or prisons are also available and rates depend on time spent at each facility.
